To display content from your own Instagram account in your Juicer feed, you need to (1) connect your Instagram account to Juicer and (2) add an Instagram source to your feed. Connections grant Juicer read-only access—Juicer can never post or delete anything on your Instagram. This article covers Instagram username, Reels, and Stories sources; for hashtag sources see How to add an Instagram hashtag source to Juicer.
❗ Before starting: visit instagram.com and log your browser out of any Instagram accounts you don't want to connect. The connection flow picks up whichever account is currently logged in.
Connecting your Instagram account
Go to the Connected Social accounts page on Juicer and click the red + button next to Instagram username.
If you're not already logged in, Instagram will prompt you to log in to the account you want to connect.
Allow access to the Juicer app. This is a read-only authorization—Juicer can import your posts, nothing else.
You'll be redirected back to Juicer's Connected Social accounts page, where your Instagram account is now listed.
⚠️ Connection expired? If a connection shows in red on the Connected Social accounts page, it has expired. Click the refresh icon 🔄 next to the account to renew it. See Adding or refreshing your Instagram connections for details.
Adding an Instagram source
A source is the social media account whose posts you display in your feed. Once your Instagram account is connected, open your feed dashboard and:
Click + Add source.
Select Instagram.
Pick the content type—Posts, Reels, or Stories. What you see next depends on whether you already have an Instagram account connected:
Click Add source.
For dedicated guides on adjacent source types:
Instagram hashtag source—different prerequisites (Instagram Business account + Facebook page).
Instagram Reels not showing up—if you've added a Reels source but Reels aren't appearing.
Troubleshooting
I see "This Instagram source isn't connected yet"—your source exists but isn't tied to an Instagram OAuth connection, so it won't auto-update. This can happen on a brand-new trial signup where Juicer briefly shows a preview before a connection is required. Click the red Setup connection button on the source and connect the matching Instagram account.
The connection shows red on the Connected Social accounts page—your access token has expired. Click the refresh icon 🔄 next to the account to renew it, or remove the connection and add it again.
The wrong Instagram account got connected—log out of all Instagram accounts at instagram.com, then redo the connection flow. The browser picks up whichever account is currently logged in.
Posts aren't appearing after a successful connection—give it a few minutes for the first sync. If posts still don't show, check that your Instagram profile is public; private profiles can't be displayed.
