If you're wondering what an embeddable feed or a source is, we cover it here.
Feed (also called "embeddable feed"): The grid of social posts that appears on your website. Other companies sometimes call this a "board" or "wall". You can display the same feed on as many webpages as you like. Some Juicer plans will allow you to build multiple feeds. On those plans, you build each feed separately within Juicer, and manage the posts separately.
Source: A single social media account (like @YourUsername on X (Twitter)) or a single hashtag from one social network (like #YourHashtag on Instagram) that is displayed within your Juicer feed. A source will take up one slot in your "Social Media Sources" panel. The number of sources available varies by plan level.
Social Connector: A way of confirming you have rights to access some account data (e.g., Instagram) or some social network (e.g., Facebook).
🎯 A feed is a collection of one or more sources. Access to some of those sources have to be granted through a Social Connector authentication.
Dashboard: The page within your Juicer account where you manage everything about a Juicer feed, including its sources, moderation/filtering, and parts of its design.
Embed code: The code that you copy from your Juicer dashboard (or from your welcome email) and paste into your webpage code, to make the Juicer feed appear on your website. The Juicer embed code contains the files that allow Juicer to load on the page, and give it its styling. It also contains a feed-id code that is unique for every Juicer feed.
Update frequency: How frequently your Juicer feed will "pull in" the latest posts from your sources. This frequency depends on your plan level. The "Medium" plan, for example, will obtain new posts for your sources once per hour.
API: This stands for "Application Programming Interface". When Juicer obtains social posts from Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), YouTube, etc., we are working with their respective APIs. Each API is different, and has different features and restrictions.
