If you've noticed that X (Twitter) posts look and function differently compared to other social media posts in your Juicer feed, you're not alone. This article will explain the reasons behind these differences and how they affect the way tweets are displayed in your feed.

Differences in Appearance

X (Twitter) has specific design guidelines that dictate how tweets should be displayed in third-party services like Juicer. These guidelines are responsible for the unique font size, color, and overall layout of tweets in your feed.

⚠️ Important: Additionally, X's guidelines prohibit displaying the number of likes and comments within the posts, which is why you don't see this information for tweets in your Juicer feed.

Text and Image Display

Another requirement set by X is that the text of a tweet must always be shown alongside the image. As a result, Juicer cannot display an image from an X (Twitter) post by itself. When the text appears on top of the image, a blue overlay is added to ensure readability.

These differences are more noticeable in image-only feed styles, such as "Slider" and "Image Grid," where the blue overlay and text are more prominent.

Pop-up Overlay Functionality

Juicer's pop-up overlays (the lightbox that appears when clicking a post) do not function with X (Twitter) due to the platform's requirements. Instead of showing the overlay, clicking on a tweet will direct the viewer directly to the post on X (Twitter).

⚠️ Important: Juicer must adhere to X's guidelines to continue including the platform in the service. As a result, it's not possible to customize or tweak the designs of X (Twitter) posts within Juicer.

Conclusion

The unique appearance and functionality of X (Twitter) posts in your Juicer feed are a result of the platform's specific design guidelines and requirements. While these differences may be more noticeable in certain feed styles, they are necessary to ensure Juicer's compliance with X's policies.
