Vimeo sources – Adding and troubleshooting

How to add Vimeo user videos, albums, and channels to your Juicer feed, with the exact format Juicer expects for each.

Written by Mario T.

You can add Vimeo videos to your Juicer feed from a user, an album, or a channel. Each one uses a slightly different format in the source field, so the steps below show how to format the term for each type. To get started, click + Add source on your feed dashboard and select Vimeo.

User videos

Use the username, either as a plain handle or as the full profile URL.

  • Profile URL format, vimeo.com/[username].

  • Example, for vimeo.com/newyorker (The New Yorker) you can enter either vimeo.com/newyorker or just newyorker.

  • For user IDs that look like vimeo.com/user2911712, enter user2911712.

Albums

Albums must be entered with an asterisk prefix. The album URL itself isn't accepted, so copy just the ID.

  • Album URL format, vimeo.com/album/[ID].

  • Example, for vimeo.com/album/2209407, enter *2209407.

  • Don't forget the leading asterisk (*), it tells Juicer this is an album rather than a user.

Channels

Channels must be entered with a tilde prefix. As with albums, the channel URL itself isn't accepted, so copy just the name.

  • Channel URL format, vimeo.com/channels/[name].

  • Example, for vimeo.com/channels/staffpicks, enter ~staffpicks.

  • Don't forget the leading tilde (~), it tells Juicer this is a channel rather than a user.

If videos from your Vimeo source aren't appearing, or you're seeing a validation error when adding the source, contact us with the feed name, the Vimeo URL of the user, album, or channel involved, and the exact value you entered in the source field, and we'll take a look.
