Tumblr sources – Adding and troubleshooting

How to add a Tumblr blog or a Tumblr hashtag to your Juicer feed, including the URL format Juicer expects and what's available on each plan.

Written by Mario T.

You can add Tumblr blogs and Tumblr hashtags to your Juicer feed. To get started, click + Add source on your feed dashboard and select Tumblr.

Add a Tumblr blog

  1. Find the blog's username in its Tumblr URL. The format is [username].tumblr.com.

  2. Example, for nasa.tumblr.com you can enter either nasa.tumblr.com or just nasa.

  3. Paste the value into the source field on the Username tab and save.

⚠️ Important, the blog must be publicly accessible. If posts don't appear, open the blog's URL in an incognito window to check that it loads without a login.

Add a Tumblr hashtag

Hashtag sources are available on paid plans, see the pricing page for details.

  1. Switch to the Hashtag tab in the Tumblr source form.

  2. Enter the hashtag, with or without the # sign. Both #photography and photography work.

  3. Save the source. Public posts using that hashtag will appear in your feed.

If posts from a Tumblr source aren't appearing, or you're seeing a validation error when adding the source, contact us with the feed name, the Tumblr blog URL or hashtag involved, and the exact value you entered in the source field, and we'll take a look.
