Manual moderation lets you review every new post before it appears in your published feed. It's especially useful for hashtag events, branded campaigns, or any feed where unexpected content would be embarrassing. This article walks through the manual review flow; if you'd rather have AI handle screening automatically, see How to use AI moderation in your Juicer feed.
🌿 Available on: All paid Juicer plans.
Turning on manual approval
Open your feed dashboard.
Click Moderation in the bottom toolbar. The dashboard switches into Moderation mode—the toolbar background goes dark and a new set of icons appears.
Click the Moderation Settings icon in the moderation toolbar.
Select Manual approval for all posts.
Choose how the change should apply:
Reviewing and approving queued posts
While you're in Moderation mode, the top of the feed shows three tabs:
Public—posts currently live in your embedded feed.
Moderation queue—posts waiting for your decision.
Trash—posts you've rejected.
To process the queue:
Open the Moderation queue tab.
Select one or more posts (or use the select-all option).
Click Approve selected to publish them, or Reject selected to send them to Trash.
You can also approve or reject individual posts directly from each post card.
Moderating only specific sources
If you only want certain sources—a single hashtag or one user account—to require approval while the rest publish automatically:
Switch back to Design mode (click Back to Design in the bottom toolbar).
Open the Sources panel.
Find the source and toggle Send all posts to moderation queue on.
⚠️ Note: The per-source toggle only affects new posts coming in from that source. Existing posts already in your feed stay where they are.
Want this automated? Try AI moderation
On Pro plans and above, AI-powered moderation can screen every post against rules you set in plain English—harmful content, sentiment, or your own custom criteria—without you having to approve each one by hand. See How to use AI moderation in your Juicer feed for the full walkthrough.
Troubleshooting
I switched to manual approval, but my live feed went empty.
You probably chose Yes, apply to existing posts, which moves the most recent posts into the queue. Open the Moderation queue tab and approve the ones you want back in the feed.Where did a rejected post go?
It's in the Trash tab inside Moderation mode. You can restore it from there.I can't find the Moderation Settings icon.
Make sure you've clicked Moderation in the bottom toolbar first. The Filtering and Moderation Settings icons only appear in Moderation mode.
