Show likes and comments on your feed posts

Turn on the Show Actions Bar setting to display each post's like and comment counts, and why counts stay hidden when they're zero.

Written by Mario T.

Your feed can display the number of likes and comments each post has on the network it came from. The setting is called Show Actions Bar, and unlike the other post display options, it arrives switched off, so nothing appears until you turn it on.

Turn on likes and comments

  1. Open your feed in the dashboard and click Design, the palette icon in the bottom bar.

  2. Click Post, the row labeled Manage post display options.

  3. Scroll to Post content and switch on Show Actions Bar.

  4. The posts stats will show on posts

The counts appear in a row beneath the post text, a thumbs-up icon for likes and a speech bubble for comments. Clicking either one opens the original post on the source network.

The change applies to the feed embedded on your site as well as the preview in the dashboard.

Why a post may show no numbers

Each count is hidden individually when it is zero, so switching the setting on does not put a row of zeros under every post.

⚠️ Turned it on and nothing changed?
A post with no likes and no comments shows nothing at all, and a post with likes but no comments shows only the like count. This is the usual reason the setting appears to do nothing. Check a post you know has engagement on the original network before assuming it isn't working.

Counts come from the source network when Juicer syncs the post, so they reflect the figures recorded at that sync rather than updating live. Some source types carry no engagement data at all and never show counts, including custom posts, Google reviews, and blog or RSS sources.

The other post display options

The same Post content section holds five more toggles. All five arrive switched on, so you use them to hide something rather than to reveal it.

  • Show Author Picture
The profile image of the account that posted.

  • Show Author Name
The name or handle of the account that posted.

  • Show Date
    When the post was published.

  • Show Text
The post caption or body copy.

  • Show Source
The network badge identifying where the post came from.

Every toggle takes effect immediately in the preview, so you can try one and switch it back if you don't like the result.

If Show Actions Bar is on and a post still shows no counts even though it has likes or comments on the original network, contact us with the feed name, the post URL, and the network it came from, and we'll take a look.
