What to do if your payment card is being declined

Your credit or debit card may be declined for payments to Juicer even if it works elsewhere.

Written by Mario T.

If your credit or debit card is declined when paying for Juicer β€” even though it works elsewhere β€” the cause is almost always your bank's category restrictions or fraud-protection rules, not the card itself.

Why your card may be declined

Juicer is assigned an MCC code of 5817 β€” Digital Goods – Applications (Excludes Games). Some banks, corporate accounts, or credit unions block transactions under specific MCC codes by policy.

Other banks decline as a security measure when they detect Juicer's monthly or yearly subscription charges, even when you have sufficient funds.

How to resolve it

  • Contact your card provider and inform them that Juicer is an approved vendor for future transactions, or ask them to lift the MCC 5817 restriction for your card.

  • Or, try another card from a different bank.

Still declined?

To learn the specific reason for the decline, send us the last 4 digits of the card, the billing email, and the decline date through contact us. We can't "force" a declined payment through, but we can attempt to process it manually again and read the decline code Stripe returned.
