Images disappear on Instagram posts after a day

If Instagram posts in your Juicer feed go blank after 24 hours, enable website embeds in your Instagram account settings.

If Instagram posts in your Juicer feed display correctly at first and then go blank after 24 hours, the cause is almost always Instagram's website-embed setting being off. Enable it once and the posts stay visible.

The issue

Instagram posts in your Juicer feed may disappear after 24 hours if embedding permissions aren't properly configured on the source Instagram account.

Solution — enable Instagram embeds

To prevent Instagram images from disappearing, enable embedding for the Instagram account. Follow the mobile or desktop steps below.

💡The embedding controls are located at the locations below as of mid-2025. Instagram/Meta is known to move and rename these options every once in a while.

If you cannot locate them at the described locations, please use the search field in the Instagram app to locate the "sharing" or "embedding" options.

Using the Instagram mobile app

  1. Navigate to your Instagram profile.

  2. Tap the three lines menu (☰) in the top right corner.

  3. Locate the option Sharing and reuse.

  4. Toggle the switch to enable website embeds.

Using Instagram on desktop

  1. Go to https://www.instagram.com/accounts/edit/, or from your Instagram profile:

    1. Tap the three lines menu (☰ More) in the bottom left corner.

    2. Click "Settings".

    3. Navigate to "Privacy and Security" > "Embeds".

    4. Enable the embedding option.

Important notes

  • Embedding eligibility depends on account type — only public accounts can have their posts embedded. Private, inactive, or age-restricted accounts, and accounts that have disabled embeds, are not supported.

⚠️ Pro tip: verify your embed settings immediately after connecting your Instagram account to Juicer to prevent future display issues.

If posts still disappear after enabling embeds and waiting for the next sync, send us the Instagram username, the feed URL, and a screenshot of the embed toggle through contact us.
