Publishing: schedule and publish posts to your social networks

How to connect Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and more to Juicer Publishing, then write, schedule and queue posts and fix failed ones.

Written by Mario T.

Publishing lets you write a post once and send it to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube and Bluesky from your Juicer dashboard. Publish right away, schedule it for a specific time, or drop it into a queue that follows your own posting schedule. This article shows how to connect your channels, write and schedule your first post, and fix a post that didn't go out.

šŸ‘‘ The Starter plan and above include one Publishing pack (one workspace with up to 8 channels). On plans below Starter, you can add a Publishing pack as a paid add-on from the Channels page. On any plan, you can add more packs when you need more channels.

Channels and packs, and how they differ from feeds

Publishing uses two terms you won't see elsewhere in Juicer.

  • Channel—one social account you publish to, such as your Instagram business account or your LinkedIn Page.

  • Publishing pack—a workspace with one slot for each of the 8 networks (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube and Bluesky). One pack can hold your Instagram account, your Facebook Page and your LinkedIn Page together, but only one account per network. To post to a second account on the same network, you need a second pack.

Channels work in the opposite direction to your feeds. A source pulls posts in from a social account to display them in a feed on your website, while a channel sends new posts out to a social account. The two are connected separately, so adding an Instagram source to a feed doesn't connect Instagram for Publishing, and connecting a channel doesn't add anything to your feeds.

Where to find Publishing

Log in to your Juicer dashboard and click Publishing in the left sidebar. It opens on your Queue, and the Channels page sits right under it in the sidebar. Across the top you'll find the tabs Create a post, Queue, Drafts, Published and Failed, each with a count of the posts inside it.

Connect your channels

Connect each social account you want to post to as a channel.

  1. Click Channels under Publishing in the sidebar, then click Connect a channel.

  2. Click Connect next to the network you want.

  3. Click Continue to {Network}. You authorize Juicer on the network's own page, so Juicer never sees your password.

  4. Back in Juicer, you'll see Great! Channel connected šŸŽ‰. Click Create a Post to start writing, or connect the next channel.

These are the account types each network accepts.

  • Instagram—Professional account (Business or Creator)

  • Facebook—Page

  • LinkedIn—Page or profile

  • X—Profile

  • TikTok—Business or Personal

  • Reddit—Profile

  • YouTube—Channel

  • Bluesky—Profile

You can also connect a network straight from the composer's channel picker, and you'll return to your post with the new channel already ticked. Each channel row on the Channels page shows the account handle and its connection status. LinkedIn and TikTok connections expire, so their rows show Valid until a date, and the account owner gets an email a week before it runs out.

Write your first post

  1. Click Write a post at the top of Publishing (or the Create a post tab).

  2. Click + Select channels to publish, tick the channels you want, and click Done. If you post to the same set of accounts often, save them as a group with + Add a group.

  3. Write your caption in the What would you like to share? box. The counter shows how much of the strictest selected network's limit you've used.

  4. Add photos, videos or documents with Add media, or drag files onto the composer. Click a photo to Add alt text for people who use screen readers.

  5. Optionally add a First comment (posted automatically right after the post goes live), get Hashtags suggestions, or shorten a URL with Short link.

  6. Check the live preview on the right. Each network tab shows how the post will look there.

Customize the post for each network

By default one post goes to every selected channel. Click Customize for each network to give a network its own caption, media or options, for example a shorter caption for X, a Reel instead of a feed post on Instagram, a subreddit and title for Reddit, or a title and visibility for YouTube. Click Combined editor to go back.

🌿 Tip: Open the arrow next to Schedule post and click Validate to check the post against every selected network's rules before you send it. Problems that would make a network reject the post are listed per channel.

Network rules to keep in mind

Each network sets its own limits, and the composer warns you when a post breaks one. The ones people run into most are these.

  • Instagram—every post needs a photo or video, and links in captions aren't clickable. Instagram accepts up to 50 posts per account in a rolling 24 hours.

  • X—280 characters, and every link counts as 23 characters whatever its length.

  • Bluesky—300 characters, JPG or PNG images up to 1MB each.

  • TikTok—needs a video, or JPG/WEBP photos for a photo post.

  • YouTube—needs a video and a title. A scheduled video stays private on YouTube until its publish time.

  • Reddit—needs a subreddit and a title, and posts either an image or text, not both. Video isn't supported.

  • LinkedIn—a PDF, PPT or DOC file becomes a swipeable document post.

  • Facebook—scheduled posts must be at least 10 minutes and at most 29 days in the future.

Uploads can be images (PNG, JPEG, GIF, WEBP) up to 15MB, videos (MP4, MOV, AVI) up to 1GB, and documents (PDF, PPT, PPTX, DOC, DOCX) up to 100MB.

Choose when it goes out

The buttons at the bottom of the composer give you four options.

  • Publish now—sends the post to every selected channel straight away.

  • Schedule post—pick a date and time and the post waits in your Queue until then. Times use your posting timezone, shown under the picker.

  • Add to queue (in the arrow menu next to Schedule post)—puts the post in the next free slot of your posting schedule, so you don't have to pick a time.

  • Save draft—keeps the post in Drafts to finish later.

Set up your posting schedule

Your posting schedule sets the time slots that Add to queue fills, and the timezone all your posts use. Open it from Manage › Posting schedule at the top of Publishing. Choose your Timezone and Active days, then use Add slot to add a time for a channel. Each new channel starts with weekday slots at 9:00, 13:00 and 17:00, which you can change or remove.

Manage your posts

Every post lives in one of the tabs, and each one shows its status (Draft, Scheduled, Publishing, Published, Failed or Partly failed).

  • Queue—everything scheduled. Switch between List and Calendar, and click an empty hour in the calendar to schedule a post for that time.

  • Drafts—posts you saved to finish later. Click Schedule Post to send one on its way.

  • Published—posts that went out, with their likes, comments, reposts and views as the networks report them.

  • Failed—posts a network rejected, with the network's reason, so you can fix them and retry.

Click the pencil icon to edit a scheduled post, a draft or a failed post. The More actions menu holds Duplicate, Move to Drafts and Delete. On a published post, Delete from networks removes it from the networks too, though some networks don't allow deleting through the API, and Juicer then shows the network's reason.

Add more channels with Publishing packs

Each pack holds one account per network, so the number of packs you need equals the most accounts you post to on any single network. Accounts on different networks share a pack, and accounts on the same network each need their own.

  • 1 pack—one brand posting to Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. Five slots stay free.

  • 2 packs—two Instagram accounts (for example two shop locations) and a Facebook Page. The second Instagram account goes in the second pack, which still has 7 free slots.

  • 5 packs—an agency posting to Instagram and Facebook for 5 clients, with one pack per client.

Click Add a pack on the Channels page (or in the Connect a channel window), and the new pack appears as Pack 2. Only the account owner or a manager can add packs. Everyone else sees a prompt to ask the account owner.

āš ļø Important: If you remove a pack, it stays active until the end of your billing period. After that its channels are disconnected and any posts still scheduled to them are cancelled.

Troubleshooting

  • My post is in Failed

    • Open it and read the reason on the network's tab. Fix the text or media, then click Retry. The networks that already published it are locked, so a retry never posts twice. You'll also get an email titled "Your {Network} post didn't go out" with a link to the post.

  • "Reconnect required" or "Expired on" next to a channel

    • The network revoked Juicer's access, or the connection ran out. On the Channels page, click the Refresh connection icon on that channel and authorize again, then retry any failed posts.

  • "Slot taken. One account per network in each pack"

    • Your pack already has an account on that network. Disconnect it first, or add a pack to connect a second account.

  • "{Network} has no posting times yet"

    • Add to queue needs at least one slot for that channel. Click Set up posting times, add a slot, then queue the post again, or pick a time with Schedule post instead.

  • Instagram says the account has reached its posting limit

    • Instagram allows 50 posts per account in a rolling 24 hours. Wait a few hours and retry.

  • TikTok is still processing the video

    • Check TikTok in a few minutes before retrying. The post may already be live there.

  • I see "Join the waiting list" instead of the workspace

    • Publishing isn't switched on for your account yet, so contact us and we'll enable it.

If a post keeps failing after you've reconnected the channel and retried, contact us with the network, the exact error shown on the Failed tab, and the time you scheduled it for, and we'll take a look.
