Give your feed a ready-made design. Apply one of 12 Premium themes, adjust its settings, and choose how posts open.

Written by Mario T.

Premium themes are 12 ready-made designs for your Juicer feed, each built for a specific use, from a university viewbook to a live event wall or a shoppable product grid. You apply one in a click, with no CSS needed. This article shows how to apply a theme, what each one looks like, and how to set the way posts open.

👑 Premium themes are available on all paid plans, and you can try them free during your trial. See the pricing page to compare plans.

Apply a premium theme

  1. Open your feed and click the Design icon (the palette) in the bottom toolbar.

  2. Click Templates.

  3. Open the Premium Themes tab.

  4. Click the theme you want. The preview updates right away so you can try a few before deciding.

  5. Click Save at the top of the page to publish the new design to your website.

Until you click Save, the design on your website stays as it was. To go back to a standard design, pick a template on the Grid, Slider or List tab.

The 12 premium themes

  • Admissions is a viewbook with topic tabs and a spread of the newest pictures.

  • Arena is a poster wall with broadcast captions and a jumbotron.

  • Campus is a noticeboard with a cover story over an even grid of notices.

  • Clinic shows calm reading cards with the picture beside the text.

  • Field Notes is an editorial journal with alternating picture and story.

  • Front Page is a newspaper front page with a lead story, seconds and briefs.

  • Hot board is a ranked community board with a podium of top posts.

  • Newsroom is a filter rail beside a dated grid of equal cards.

  • Spotlight is a live event wall, one post at a time with a QR code.

  • Stay is a hotel brochure with guest reviews between the pictures.

  • Storefront is a featured drop above a shoppable product grid.

  • Studio is a dense wall of tiles with a 2x2 feature in every nine.

Theme settings

Some themes have settings of their own. After you apply one, scroll down in Templates to Template Settings.

  • For Spotlight, under Live wall, choose the Speed, write a Prompt for your audience, and set the QR code link. Leave the link blank to point the QR code at your collect page (when public submissions are on) or your first source.

  • For Admissions, set the Topics that appear as tabs above your posts.

  • For Stay, under Google reviews shown, pick All reviews, a minimum star rating, or 5 stars only. Reviews rated lower are left out.

Settings a theme turns off

Each theme is designed around a fixed layout, so a few settings it can't use (for example Masonry or LiveCam on some themes) are greyed out while it's applied. They come back as soon as you switch to a standard template.

Choose how posts open

Premium themes open posts in a full-screen viewer that visitors can step through with arrows, the keyboard, or a swipe. To choose its layout, click the Settings icon (the gear) in the bottom toolbar and, under Interaction Settings, make sure Open overlay on post click is on. Then pick a Post viewer.

  • Reader shows the picture beside the full text, stacked on phones.

  • Reels shows posts full-bleed so visitors swipe between them, in a centered column on desktop.

  • Auto uses Reader on desktop and Reels on phones.

Troubleshooting

  • The themes are greyed out with an Unlock button
Premium themes need a paid plan. Click Unlock to see your upgrade options, or compare plans on the pricing page.

  • A setting is greyed out
The theme you applied can't use it. Switch to a standard template on the Grid, Slider or List tab to turn it back on.

  • My website still shows the old design
Click Save at the top of the page. Applying a theme only changes the preview until you save.

  • I don't see the Post viewer option
It appears only while a premium theme is applied and Open overlay on post click is on.

If a theme doesn't look right on your website after you save, please contact us with your feed name, the theme you applied, and the page where the feed is embedded, and we'll take a look.
