Mentions sources - Adding and troubleshooting

Track when people tag or @mention your brand on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X by adding a mentions source to your feed.

Mentions sources let you pull in posts where other people tag or @mention your account on social media. Instead of only showing your own posts, you can now aggregate user-generated content that references your brand—perfect for social proof, events, and community engagement.

Mentions are available on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter).

How to add a mentions source

  1. Open your feed in the Juicer dashboard and click + Add source.

  2. Select the platform you want (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, or X).

  3. Click the Mentions tab (marked with a NEW badge).

  4. Fill in the required details (see platform-specific instructions below).

  5. Click Add source.

Instagram mentions

Instagram mentions capture posts where other users tag your account in their photos or videos, as well as posts that @mention you in the caption.

Requirements

  • An Instagram Business or Creator account (Personal accounts aren't supported by Meta's API)

  • The account must be linked to a Facebook Page you admin (set this up in the Instagram app or Meta Business Suite)

  • Connect it on Connected Social Accounts via Facebook—not via "Login with Instagram"

  • Select your connected business account from the dropdown in the Mentions form

ℹ️ Why does the Mentions dropdown show fewer accounts than the Username dropdown?

The Username tab uses Instagram's simpler "Login with Instagram" OAuth, which works for any Personal, Creator, or Business account. The Mentions tab has to call Meta's Graph API tags endpoint, which Meta only exposes for Instagram Business or Creator accounts linked to a Facebook Page the authorizing user admins. This is the same Meta limitation that applies to Instagram Stories and Instagram Hashtag sources—it's not a Juicer restriction. Accounts connected only via "Login with Instagram" won't appear in the Mentions dropdown; reconnect them via Facebook with the linked Page selected and they'll show up.

What gets imported

  • Photo/video tags—posts where someone tags your account in their media

  • Caption mentions—posts where someone @mentions your username in the caption text

You can choose to import Posts, Reels, or both using the content type selector.

🌿 Tip: Caption @mentions arrive in real time via webhook, so they appear in your feed within seconds. Photo tags (someone tagging your account in their media without @mentioning you in the caption) come through regular syncs.

Facebook mentions

Facebook mentions capture posts where other users tag your Facebook Page.

Requirements

What gets imported

  • Public posts where other users tag your Facebook Page

LinkedIn mentions

LinkedIn mentions capture posts where other users mention your company page or personal profile.

Requirements

  • Enter the URL of the LinkedIn company page or personal profile you want to track mentions for

What gets imported

  • Posts that mention your company or personal profile on LinkedIn

X (Twitter) mentions

X mentions capture tweets where other users @mention your account.

Requirements

  • Enter the X/Twitter username you want to track mentions for (without the @ symbol)

What gets imported

  • Public tweets that @mention your username

Troubleshooting

  • I don't see the Mentions tab—make sure you've selected a platform that supports mentions (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, or X). If the tab still doesn't appear, contact us at juicer.io and we'll enable it on your account.

  • No posts are appearing—mentions sources only import new posts going forward. If no one has mentioned or tagged your account recently, the feed may be empty at first. Give it a day or two for new mentions to come in.

  • My Instagram account isn't in the Mentions dropdown—Mentions only lists Instagram Business or Creator accounts linked to a Facebook Page you admin and connected via Facebook OAuth. Accounts connected through "Login with Instagram" won't appear. See the Instagram requirements above.

  • LinkedIn mentions aren't syncing—make sure you entered the full LinkedIn URL (e.g., https://www.linkedin.com/company/your-company). If syncing fails, check that the profile or company page is public.
