Reddit sources – Adding and troubleshooting

How to add a Reddit source to your Juicer feed—pull posts from a subreddit or a Mentions search—plus plan requirements and troubleshooting.

Written by Mario T.

Juicer supports Reddit as a native source. You can pull posts from a subreddit or from a Reddit search into your feed, with no Reddit login or OAuth connection required—Juicer fetches public posts directly.

Monitor your brand on Reddit with Juicer demos the Mentions source type, pulling Reddit posts that mention your brand or a topic into your feed.

👑 Reddit is a premium source. It's available on Juicer’s paid plans, and you can try it free during your trial. See the pricing page to compare plans.

Adding a Reddit source

  1. Open your feed dashboard.

  2. Click + Add source

  3. Select Reddit

  4. Choose the source type:

    • Subreddit—enter a subreddit name, for example AskReddit, or paste a subreddit URL like reddit.com/r/AskReddit.

    • Mentions—enter a keyword or phrase, like your brand name or a topic, to pull in matching posts from across Reddit. Wrap it in quotes for an exact-phrase match. This searches post text, not Reddit usernames, so enter the term you want to find rather than an @handle.

  5. Click Add source

Posts will start appearing in your feed shortly. New posts show up at the next scheduled sync—the cadence depends on your plan.

⚡️ No login required. Unlike most social sources, Reddit does not need an OAuth connection. Just enter a subreddit or search term, and Juicer pulls the posts directly.

Mentions work differently on different networks. On Reddit and TikTok, a Mentions source is a keyword search like the one above. On X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, a Mentions source instead tracks posts that tag a specific account or Page. Both help with brand monitoring. They just start from different inputs, a keyword versus an account.

Supported content

  • Text and link posts

  • Image posts

  • Video posts

Troubleshooting

  • “Please enter a valid subreddit name (e.g., AskReddit) or subreddit URL”
Subreddit names are 3–21 characters and use only letters, numbers, and underscores. Enter just the name (AskReddit), not the r/ prefix, or paste the full subreddit URL.

  • The search term can’t be blank
If you chose the Mentions type, enter a term before clicking Add source.

  • “We couldn’t find any posts”
The subreddit exists but has no recent public posts, or your search term returned nothing. Try a busier subreddit or a broader term.

  • Posts not updating?
Reddit sources sync on the same schedule as your other sources, based on your plan. See the pricing page for sync cadence.

  • My Mentions source returns nothing
It searches post text, so try a broader keyword or your brand name rather than a u/ username or @handle.

If your Reddit source is not pulling in the posts you expect, contact us with the feed name, the subreddit or search term involved, and a sample Reddit post URL that should be appearing but is not, and we will take a look.
