Changing account ownership

How to hand over your Juicer account to a client or colleague by updating the login email and password, plus what to do about the active subscription.

Written by Mario T.

To transfer ownership of a Juicer account to a client or colleague, change the login email and set a temporary password they can use to sign in. Juicer doesn't have a one-click transfer flow β€” the steps below cover what to do for the login, the credit card, and the active subscription.

Updating the login email address

From Account Settings:

  1. Log into your Juicer account.

  2. Go to Account Settings.

  3. Update the email address associated with the account.

  4. Set a temporary password that you're comfortable sharing with the new account owner.

  5. Share the new login details with the client or colleague β€” they should change the password the first time they sign in.

Updating credit card details

To change the credit card on the account, follow how to update your payment and billing details.

πŸ’‘ If you're transferring ownership, the new account holder may need to update the credit card themselves once they have access.

Transferring the active subscription

When transferring ownership of a paid Juicer account:

  • Juicer can't remove the payment method while a subscription is active. You'll need to coordinate with the new account holder on the payment method handover.

  • Alternatively, Juicer can downgrade the account to the Free plan, which gives the new account holder until the end of the current billing period to re-upgrade before paid features lapse.

If the new owner can't sign in with the updated credentials, or you'd like us to downgrade the subscription in preparation for the handover, send us the current account email, the new owner's email, and the date you'd like the change to take effect through contact us.
